Mrs. Elaine Truitt Martin

Mrs. Elaine Truitt Martin, age 76, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be held Friday, January 19, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Pastor Tom Lee will officiate, and interment will follow at Culloden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin was born on February 4, 1947, a daughter of the late Henry Truitt and the late Nadine Mason Truitt. She was a 1965 graduate of Perry High School. She was a Seamstress and retired from Oxford Industries in Reynolds. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard, but her biggest hobby was her family. Mrs. Martin was a member of Culloden Baptist Church.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronnie Martin of Thomaston; her daughter, Lisa (Mitchell) Patrick of Thomaston; her son, Eric (Alissa) Martin of Williamson; her sister, Nancy (Johnny) Terrell of Fort Valley; her brother, Tommy (Geri) Truitt of Barnesville; and her grandchildren, Taylor, Nicole, Paisleigh, Chelsea, Ashton, and Emily. Also surviving are her six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Rucker and her brother, Jimmy Truitt.
