Mrs. Erma Lee Mckinley

Mrs. Erma Lee McKinley, age 85, of Thomaston, died Friday, December 23, 2016, at Riverside Health and Rehab. Funeral services for Mrs. McKinley will be held Monday, December 26, 2016, at 11:00 AM, at Trinity Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Wilson will officiate, and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10 until 11 AM. Mrs. McKinley was born in Upson County on October 8, 1931, to the late Cecil Lee and Louise Barrow Lee. She was a 1948 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for many years before her retirement. Mrs. McKinley was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Odom McKinley, a son, Rodney McKinley, and a sister, Vauneita Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Tanya (Terry) McCollum, and a son, Scott (Pam) McKinley, both of Thomaston; a sister, Angelia Lee (Jim) Wade of Forest Park, GA; a nephew, Chris Wade; nine grandchildren: Scotty McKinley, Joshua (Beth) McKinley, Laura Beth (Eric) Hauff, Taylor McKinley, Nichole (Taylor) Matthews, Casey (Ryan) Fulghum, Aislinn (Matt) Turner, Cade McKinley, and Zachary McKinley; and nine great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Phebians Sunday School Class, Trinity Baptist Church, 410 South Church St., Thomaston, GA 30286.
