Mrs. Faye Mullins, age 77, of Butler, GA, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Mullins will be held on Monday, October 9, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Elder Roger McDonald and Elder David Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in the High Shoals Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Barnesville, GA. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mullins was born September 4, 1946, in Troy, AL, to the late Guy Lunsford Brooks and the late Elene Roberts Brooks. She was a graduate of Griffin High School and had served as the cafeteria manager at Columbus State University. She loved her family and enjoyed farming. Mrs. Mullins attended High Shoals Primitive Baptist Church and Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Pettus, and five siblings.
Mrs. Mullins is survived by her husband, Elder Tim Mullins of Butler, GA; a daughter, Lynn (Scott) Baker of Byron, GA; two sons: Chuck (Lorie) Pettus of Warner Robins, GA, and Jerry (Becky) Pettus of Butler, GA; a sister, Betty (Jessie) White of Thomaston; a brother, James Brooks of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren: Joseph Pettus and Courtnee Macias; and four great grandchildren: Elijah Macias, Calliope Macias, Hunter Pettus, and Kinley Pettus.
