Mrs. Frances Flitter Mixon

Mrs. Frances Flitter Mixon, age 82, of Thomaston, died Sunday, January 5, 2025, at her residence. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Mixon was born in Savannah, GA, on September 15, 1942, to the late Ernest Flitter and the late Frances Louise Wamsley Flitter. She was a 1960 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute, and she earned an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Georgia Southwestern College. She was employed by the late Dr. Charles Mixon, DDS, for many years. Mrs. Mixon was an avid Bridge player. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Thomaston.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mixon was preceded in death by a brother, Carey Flitter. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, William Thomas "Tommy" Mixon of Thomaston; a sister-in-law, Kelly Mixon of Thomaston; and a brother-in-law, Mickey (Gina) Mixon of Winder, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
