Mrs. Frances Womble Daniel

Mrs. Frances Womble Daniel, 100, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Daniel will be held on Friday, December 9th, 2016 at 2 pm in Crystal Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Allen officiating. Mrs. Daniel was born in Meriwether County on December 8, 1915. She was employed briefly by Thomaston Mills and later worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse at Providence Health Care. Mrs.. Daniel was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church and was the church's oldest living member. She was a member of the Doer's Sunday School Class. Mrs.. Daniel is survived by her daughter-in-law, Priscilla Daniel of Columbus; four grandchildren, Debra Ann Daniel of Columbus, David (Annie) Hill of Thomaston, Mike (Danielle) Hill of Jackson, and Gayle (Stan) Abernathy of Ware Shoals, SC; and several great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carlton Daniel; a son, William C. Daniel, Jr.; and a daughter, Frances Mae Daniel Hill.
