Mrs. Gail Harrison McDaniel

Mrs. Gail Harrison McDaniel, age 77, of Thomaston passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at her residence. She was born on December 1, 1946 in Thomaston, Georgia, to James Clarence “Buck” and Betty Rutherford Harrison.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 17 at 4 pm in the chapel of Fletcher Day Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 pm until the

funeral hour.

Gail graduated from R.E. Lee Institute in 1964. After graduation, she attended Flint River Technical College and earned a degree in Business. She began her career in banking and retired from United Bank in 2009 with 41 years of service. Gail was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. Gail’s life was filled with love and she was loved by many.

Gail is survived by her husband, Paul L. “Butch” McDaniel; her son, Clay (Michele) McDaniel; a sister, Sharron Corley; a granddaughter, Baleigh McDaniel; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
