Mrs. Gail Reeves Kilby

Mrs. Gail Reeves Kilby, age 72, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Harborview Health & Rehab.


The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 5, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.


Mrs. Kilby was born in Newnan, GA, on July 21, 1952, to the late Tyre H. Reeves and the late Joanne Fitzgerald Reeves. She grew up in Luthersville, GA. Mrs. Kilby was the first female to take the electronics course at Upson Technical School. She was employed by the Peerless Division of Thomaston Mills where she was a payroll clerk. She enjoyed watching birds and listening to music, and she loved antiques. She had a green thumb when it came to gardening and planting flowers.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kilby was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Michael Kilby; a son, Billy Joe Clay, Jr.; and a brother, Steve Reeves. She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Clay of Thomaston; a sister, Vicky (Paul) Hudson of Lincolnton, GA; a brother, Danny (Elizabeth) Reeves of Luthersville, GA; three grandchildren: Joshua Cleveland, Ronald Drake, and Ashley Webb; one great grandchild, Makaiya Daniel; two nephews: Jeremy Hudson and Douglas Hudson; and a niece, Felicia Angulo.
