Mrs. Gayle Becham Thomas

Mrs. Gayle Becham Thomas, 77, of Thomaston, died April 30, 2015, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015, at 4:00 PM, at the First United Methodist Church of Thomaston. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Thomas will receive friends Saturday evening, May 2, from 5-7 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Thomas was a 1957 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. She was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Thomaston, and the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. She actively participated in many other local organizations. Mrs. Thomas was predeceased by her parents, George C. and Cecil Pasley Becham, and her husband, Harold Thomas. Survivors include two daughters: Lisa Thomas (Johnny) Presley and Rita Thomas (Foy) Corley, both of Thomaston; a son, Keith (Patty) Thomas of Thomaston; a sister, Charlene (Jim) Huffman of Forsyth, GA; a brother, Gerald Becham of LaGrange, GA; six grandchildren: Chris (Thea) Goodman, Dustin (Hollye) Goodman, Jorden Thomas, Ashlee Thomas, James Corley, and Jacob Corley. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests that contributions in Mrs. Thomas's memory be made to the First United Methodist Church of Thomaston, the American Heart Association, or The Leukemia Foundation.
