Mrs. Geneva Louise Fleming Huckaby

Mrs. Geneva Louise Fleming Huckaby, 91, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Huckaby will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 12:30 PM in the Molena City Cemetery with Rev. Rick Rose officiating. The family of Mrs. Huckaby will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Mrs. Huckaby was born in Thomaston on October 8, 1929, a daughter of the late Grady and Bessie Gooch Fleming, Sr. She was formerly employed as a weaver at Thomaston Mills. Mrs. Huckaby was a member of the Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Huckaby is survived by her daughter, Marie Thompson, and her son, Terry Huckaby, both of Thomaston; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Huckaby of Thomaston; a sister, Martha Ann McLendon of Thomaston; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Huckaby; sons Jerry Wayne Huckaby, Sr., Tommy Huckaby and Charles Huckaby; and brothers Rufus Fleming, Grady Fleming, Jr., and Donnie Ray Fleming.
