Mrs. Gloria Ann Alvarez Walker

Mrs. Gloria Ann Alvarez Walker, 81, of Thomaston, died Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at Providence Health and Rehab. Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Walker will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 until 7 PM. Mrs. Walker was born in San Francisco, CA. She and her husband, James David Walker, had made their home in Thomaston for many years. She was a retired lunch room manager in the Thomaston-Upson County School System and had been a Navy wife for over 20 years. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Emory's Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her husband Mrs. Walker is survived by a daughter, Kathleen A. Williams of Thomaston; two sons, James Andrew Walker of Newnan and Thomas Patrick Walker of Dallas, TX; four sisters, five grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
