Mrs. Hilda J. Ferguson

Mrs. Hilda J. Ferguson, age 85, of Thomaston, died Sunday, December 30, at Pine Point Hospice in Macon, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Ferguson will be held Friday, January 4, 2019, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Arianna Eberle and Rev. Howard Gossett will officiate, and entombment will follow in the Yatesville Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday, January 3, from 5 until 7 PM. Mrs. Ferguson was born July 23, 1933, in Louisville, KY, to the late Edwin Herbert Schwab and Clara Poe Schwab. She was retired from Dawson Pharmacy where she was a Pharmacy Tech, and she was a member of the Yatesville Seniors Club. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the Yatesville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Ferguson, and a son, Phillip Dean Conner. She is survived by two daughters: Alice (Kevin) Williamson and Maria (James) Gossett, both of Thomaston; one son, Teddy (Janet) Conner, Jr., of Thomaston; a brother, Eddie (Blanche) Schwab of Parrish, AL; seven grandchildren: Daniel Ross Conner of Macon, GA; Elizabeth Gail (Joseph) Young of Forsyth, GA; Jeremy Scharlow of Champaign, IL; Jessica (Tom) Stirrett of Bad Axe, MI; Erica (Andrew) Battle of Perry, GA; Shannon Faber of FL; and Aaron Faber of Macon, GA, and seven great grandchildren: Evan Young of Forsyth, GA; Adrian Jackson, Andrew Battle, Jr., and Brianna Battle, all of Perry, GA; Cole Stirrett and Gracie Stirrett, both of MI; and Ariel Scharlow of Raleigh, NC.
