Mrs. Janelle Lowe Howell

Mrs. Janelle Lowe Howell, 84, of Thomaston, died Monday, December 27, 2021, at Riverside Health and Rehab. Funeral services for Mrs. Howell will be held on Thursday, December 30, at 4:00 PM, at Antioch United Methodist Church. A private family interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Howell was born in Griffin, GA, on February 6, 1937, to the late Thomas Edward Lowe and Lillian Birdsong Lowe. She was a retired LPN who worked in various locations in healthcare and retired from the office of Dr. Potitong. Mrs. Howell enjoyed cooking and gardening, and she loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active member of Antioch United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by three sisters: Betty Smith, Margie Caraway, and Brenda Boyt; and two brothers: Billy Lowe and Marion "Bub" Lowe. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Black "Tommy" Howell, Sr., of Thomaston.; two daughters: Susan (Guy) Carpenter and Karen (Rex) Kennedy, both of Thomaston; a son, Thomas B. (Karen) Howell, Jr., of Thomaston; four sisters: Juanita Morgan of Yatesville; Gloria (Conrad) Smith of Thomaston; Sheila Holtapp of Griffin; and Susie (Jack) Boyt of Thomaston; two brothers: Ray (Susie) Lowe and Ronnie (Teresa) Lowe, both of Thomaston; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
