Mrs. Janice Niver Chastain

Mrs. Janice Niver Chastain, age 75, of Thomaston, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Taylor County Health and Rehab. Memorial services for Mrs. Chastain will be held on Wednesday, May 18, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Bennett and Dr. Albert E. Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home from 1:00 -2:00 Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Chastain, daughter of the late Francis and Lillie Wheeler Niver, was a native of Fulton County. She was an educator before joining her husband in the family's business. Survivors include her husband, Gerald Chastain of Thomaston; two daughters: Geri Ann Chastain of Buford and Jennifer ( Raymond) Joiner of Woodstock; a son, Alan (Jami) Chastain, of Thomaston; a sister, Marion (Marvin) Tidwell of Flowery Branch; three grandchildren: Peyton Joiner, Reagan Joiner, and Amanda McCoy; and one great grandchild, Aubrey McCoy.
