Mrs. Joan L. Teal

Mrs. Joan Lee Teal, 77, of LaGrange and formerly of Thomaston, died Thursday, August 30th, 2018 at LaGrange Nursing and Rehab. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Teal will be held on Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Faithful Christian Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Julius Stewart officiating. Mrs. Teal was born on October 17th, 1940 in Thomaston, a daughter of the late Oscar and Katrine Harris Lee. She was a former district manager for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and had earlier been employed by Thomaston Mills. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Teal is survived by two daughters, Kim (Steve) Shannon of LaGrange, and Denise (Randy) Blackmon of Thomaston; three grandchildren, Chris, Brent and Abby Shannon; and two great grandchildren.
