Mrs. Judith Larose Smith Reedy

Mrs. Judith LaRose Smith Reedy, 64, of Molena, GA., died Thursday evening, August 6, 2015, in Columbus, GA. She was born October 27, 1950, in Thomaston. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 9, at 3:00 PM, at the Northside Baptist Church in Thomaston, with Rev. Jereme Chaney officiating. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Reedy will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday, August 8, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Mrs. Reedy was retired after 20 years as an agent with Kay Robinson State Farm Insurance, and she had been a sales representative for TowneCraft Cookware. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Thomaston. Mrs. Reedy was preceded in death by her father, Clinton L. Smith; a son, Chadwick Henderson Salter; a brother, Clinton Daniel Smith; and a grandson, Jaython Clinton Fleming. She is survived by her husband, George L. Reedy of Molena; her mother, Betty L. Smith of Thomaston; a daughter, Melissa Salter (Dewayne E.) Sams of Molena; a stepdaughter, Courtney (Edward) Whitehouse of Jackson, GA; a stepson, Jeg (Paula) Reedy of Irmo, SC; a sister, Joy Smith (Carl) Parnell of Meansville; a brother, Jim Smith of Beech Grove, IN. Five grandchildren, Justin Tyme Fleming of Molena, Darby Whitehouse of Jackson, and Hayden, Jace, and Irish Reedy of Irmo, SC, also survive.
