Mrs. Kathryn Martin Daniel, 85, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Griffin. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Daniel will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM in South View Cemetery with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. There will not be a scheduled visitation; however, Mrs. Daniel will lie in repose at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home from Thursday afternoon until Friday evening for those who wish to have some private viewing time. Mrs. Daniel was born in Macon on October 28, 1934, a daughter of the late Samuel Thomas and Jewell James Martin. She grew up in Forsyth but moved to Thomaston in 1956 upon her marriage to her husband, the late William Harold Daniel. She was employed by the William Carter Company shortly after coming to Thomaston. She later was employed as an administrative assistant in the Upson County School System at Atwater Elementary School and later at Upson-Lee South Elementary School. Mrs. Daniel was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Daniel is survived by two sons, Greg (Michele) Daniel of Thomaston and Chris (Carol) Daniel of Griffin; a sister, Brenda Martin Apperson of Forsyth; and five grandchildren, Tatum (Caleb) Elliott of Chattanooga, TN , Will (Alexis) Daniel of Atlanta, Kyle Daniel of Dillard, Drew Daniel of Thomaston and Gracie Daniel of Griffin.
