Mrs. Linda Kaye Presley Shepard

Mrs. Linda Kaye Presley Shepard, 75, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Memorial services for Mrs. Shepard will be held Saturday, December 4, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Blackston officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Mrs. Shepard was born in Griffin, Georgia, on February 3, 1946, to the late Ray Presley and Cornelia Mayhue Presley. She was a 1964 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. She worked for West Central Georgia Bank and later retired as a scheduler for Upson Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. "Bob" Shepard. Survivors include three children: Susan (Mark) Blackstock of Molena, GA, Robby Shepard and Bridget Shepard, both of Thomaston; two sisters: Brenda Presley Watson of Lantana, TX, and Donna (Scotty) Hammond of Thomaston; one brother: Dennis (Peggy) Presley of Newnan, GA; one grandson: Steve (Nichole) Blackston of Thomaston, and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Upson County Humane Society, PO Box 1152, Thomaston, GA 30286.
