Mrs. Lucy Spillers Dunaway

Mrs. Lucy Spillers Dunaway, age 94, formerly of Thomaston , died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Gwinnett Extended Care Center. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2:00PM in the South View Cemetery. Rev. Bill Barber will officiate. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home Friday afternoon from 12:00PM till 1:30PM. Mrs. Dunaway was born in Taylor county on April 29, 1921 to the late Benjamin and Cora McCrary Spillers. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Dunaway was preceded in death by her husband William Frank Dunaway Sr., brothers; Durwood Spillers, G. C. Spillers, Paul Spillers, Calvin Spillers, and Clifford Spillers. Mrs. Dunaway is survived by daughter, Susan (Tommy) Parham of Grayson, GA, son, Glenn (Nina) Dunaway, Atlanta, GA, stepdaughter JoAnn Rannow of Cypress CA; stepson, William Frank Dunaway, Jr. of Newnan GA, brother, Ben M. Spillers of Montgomery, Al, special cousins Betty Holloway and Marilyn Dickerson of Thomaston, GA, Grandson, David Parham of Centerville, GA, Granddaughter, Lisa Morozova of Vienna Austria. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice 10810 East 45th Street, Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
