Mrs. Marie Brooks Ferguson

Mrs. Marie Brooks Ferguson, 93, of Thomaston, GA, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Ferguson will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Caspers and Rev. Joe Allen will officiate, and burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. Mrs. Ferguson was born in Montgomery, AL, on February 27, 1924, to Jim and Tennie L. Brooks. She was a retired hairdresser and owned Marie's House of Beauty. Mrs. Ferguson was an avid bridge and bunco player. She was a member of the Silvertown Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Ferguson, and a son, Benjie Ferguson. Survivors include her daughters, Pat Fallin and Carol (Pete) Baldwin, both of Griffin, GA; four grandchildren: Neal (Kim) Baldwin, Jr. of McDonough, GA; Ashley Baldwin of Griffin, GA; Tamara (Brian) Norton of Long Beach, MS; and Brooke (Randy) Clem of Peachtree City, GA; six great grandchildren: Bailey, Anna, and Ben Baldwin and Ty, Charlie, and Will Clem.
