Mrs. Marie Hammock

Mrs. Marie Hammock, age 86, of Thomaston, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at Thomaston Manor. Funeral services for Mrs. Hammock will be held on Wednesday, October 14, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Dr. Rex King officiating. Interment will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Hammock was born in Dublin, GA, on August 11, 1934, to the late J. B. Keen and Sue Lee Dominy Keen. She was retired from Thomaston Mills where she was employed as a supervisor. Mrs. Hammock attended East Thomaston Baptist Church for many years, and she was currently a member of Christ Chapel Community Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hammock was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hammock, a daughter, Vickie Hammock, and two brothers, J.R. Keen and Richard Keen. She is survived by her son, Marty (Gail) Hammock of Thomaston; a granddaughter, Mandy Jackson, and a grandson, Brian (Lisa) Hammock, both of Thomaston; a sister, and 6 great grandchildren.
