Mrs. Marlene Day Granger, 84, of Thomaston, died Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at Heritage Health Care in Barnesville. Funeral services for Mrs. Granger will be held on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Brother Ray Smith will officiate and burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Granger will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Granger was born in Thomaston on September 7th, 1933, a daughter of the late James Paul and Myrtle Day Reese, Sr. She was a retired caseworker for the Upson County Dept. of Family and Children's Services. She was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church. Mrs. Granger is survived by a son, Steve Granger of Thomaston; three grandchildren, Shane Granger of Saint Petersburg, FL, and Lisa Granger and Chad Crook, both of Thomaston; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, David Andrew Granger and Gerry Jay Granger, and a daughter, Cynthia Ann Crook.
