Mrs. Martha Boyt Dean

Mrs. Dean was born in Yatesville and had lived in Upson County all her life. She was retired from Thomaston Mills where she worked mainly in the Card Room. Mrs. Dean was a member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Dean, a daughter, Ann Dean, one grandchild, five brothers and one sister. She is survived by three daughters, Mildred E. 'Susie' Myrick, Patty Durham and Linda Schoultz, all of Thomaston; one son, Ben Dean of Manchester; a sister, Doris Birdwell; a brother, Walter Boyt; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
