Mrs. Martha Faye Woodruff

Mrs. Martha Faye Woodruff, age 79, of Yatesville, GA, died Thursday, October 3, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Woodruff will be held on Monday, October 7, at 2:00 PM, at the Yatesville Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Rozier will officiate, and interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

Mrs. Woodruff was born on January 12, 1945, in Macon, GA, to the late Roy Shores and the late Winnie Mae Rozier Shores. She enjoyed trips to the beach and the mountains and especially liked visiting the Hotel Del Coronado in California. She was good at playing pool and golf, and she was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Mrs. Woodruff was formerly employed as a general manager at Hardee's. She attended Calvary Lighthouse Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodruff was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Shores and a sister, Emmalou Mullis. She is survived by her children: Bart (LaRhonda) Becham of Thomaston; Cheryl (Marty) Sanders of Yatesville; Matt Becham of Yatesville; Allison (Frank) Nash of Milner; and Angela Johnston (Ellen Mendoza) of San Diego, CA; three sisters: Ann Thompson of Macon; Becky Chamblee of Byron; and Brenda Gordon of Byron. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
