Mrs. Mary Frances Dawkins Deal

Mrs. Mary Frances Dawkins Deal, known as Boots to her beloved husband, Dickie, died on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at West Village Retirement Community in Thomaston, GA. Her family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Frances was born on August 14, 1928, the sixth of nine children, to the late Franklin Thomas Dawkins and Myrtle Mae Torbush Dawkins. She and her siblings grew up on Barnesville Street in East Thomaston where many memories were made. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Richard (Dickie) Deal, and her son, Richard Kimball (Kim) Deal. Siblings preceding Frances in death include Mary Dawkins (Curtis) Johnson, Pauline Dawkins (Jim) Agnew, James Franklin Dawkins, Robert Lee (Grace) Dawkins, Paul Lamar Dawkins, Cleonard Albert Dawkins, and Leonard Alton Dawkins. Frances, also known as Memom, is survived by her granddaughter, Melissa (Missy) Deal Hernandez and her husband, Mano, of White, GA, as well as their children, EmaLeigh, Aislen, Chatlie, Dutch, and Rye; her grandson, David Richard Deal, his wife Felicia, of Colorado Springs, CO, and their 2 boys, Josh and Landon; and her youngest grandson, James Kimball Deal, of Cedartown, GA. She is also survived by her loving sister, Fairy Dawkins Jackson of Hiawassee, GA, a sister-in-law, Betty J. Dawkins of Thomaston, GA; and many nieces and nephews, both near and far. Frances loved her large family and never missed any chance to be a part of the Dawkins family get togethers. She and her siblings, their spouses and children enjoyed many family birthdays, holidays, and vacations together. After marrying Dickie, Frances relocated to Cedartown, GA, where they lived for the remainder of their lives together becoming a beloved part of the community and attending First Baptist Church.
