Mrs Mary G Willis

Mrs. Mary G. Willis, 101, of Thomaston, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, August 20, at 2:00 PM in the Molena City Cemetery. Dr. Derrick Keeter will officiate. The family of Mrs. Willis will receive friends Wednesday evening, August 19, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Willis was born in Morrow, GA, but lived most of her life in Molena and had worked as a beautician. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Thomaston and the Molena Civic Club. Survivors include her son, Jerry Willis of Thomaston; a sister-in-law, Betty Cook of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a niece, Wynell McCloud of Suwanee, GA; three grandchildren - Rebecca (Basil) Burkett of Thomaston, Gene Willis of St. Elmo, IL, and Tony (Shannon) Willis of Fayetteville, GA; five great grandchildren: Dessie McKinley of Thomaston; Kayla Willis of Mobile, AL, Abigail Burkett of Thomaston; Hannah Willis and Blake Willis, both of Fayetteville, GA. Four great great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in memory of Mrs. Willis to New Hope Baptist Church, 1165 Hannah's Mill Road, Thomaston, GA 30286, or to the church of the donor's choice.
