Mrs. Mary Sams Wilson

Mrs. Mary Sams Wilson, 82, of Molena, died Sunday, March 6th, 2016 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be held on Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Dr. Rex King will officiate and burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wilson was born in Taylor County on August 4, 1933, a daughter of the late Willie Lee Sams and Tera Blackston Sams. She was formerly employed in the Spinning Room of the Martha Mills Division of the B. F. Goodrich Company. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Rodney) Marks of Molena; her son, William S. 'Billy' (Cassie) Wilson of Molena; two sisters, Joyce Priest and Shirley (Jimmy) Coleman, both of Griffin; two brothers, Dick Sams of Griffin and Pat (June) Sams of Thomaston; four grandchildren, Kristy Frierson, Logan Duck, Katilyn Shipman and Bailey Shipman; and two great grandchildren, Joshua Frierson and Alyssa Frierson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Morgan Wilson and a grandson, William Tolly Wilson II. The family of Mrs. Wilson will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
