Mrs. Mary Sue Davis Thrasher

Mrs. Mary Sue Davis Thrasher, 66, of Thomaston, died Friday, January 8, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Monday, January 11, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jimmy Baughcum officiating. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 10, from 6 until 8 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was born August 9, 1949, in Thomaston, to the late Oscar Raymond Davis and Lois Mullis Davis. She had worked at Upson Regional Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and she attended Mountain View Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Lee Thrasher, Sr. of Thomaston; a daughter, Lisa (Jay) Davison of Thomaston; a son, Lee 'PeeWee' (Debra Sue) Thrasher, of Thomaston; a brother, Jimmy (Brenda) Davis, of Thomaston; a special niece, Cathy McDaniel, of Thomaston; five grandchildren: Megan Lester of Barnesville, and Casidy Troup, Logan Thrasher, Lilly Thrasher, and Lauren Thrasher, all of Thomaston. One great grandson, Carson Lester, also survives. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
