Mrs. Mary Sue Perry, 78, of Barnesville, GA, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at her residence. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Perry will be held Thursday, June 7, at 11:00 AM, at Crystal Hill Cemetery with Rev. Justin Morphis officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Perry was born July 29, 1939, in Albany, GA, to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Watson Pflienger. She was a legal secretary and court reporter, having worked for the late Judges Andrew Whalen and Ben J. Miller. She retired after 15 years of service in the GA Attorney General's Office where she was Sr. Legal Secretary. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Yatesville, GA. Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G. Perry, and a son, James Alton Harrell. She is survived by three sons: John David Harrell and Joseph Wiley Harrell, and Jason (Barbara) Harrell, all of Barnesville, GA; a sister, Linda Ann (Jackie) Chastain of Thomaston, GA; four grandchildren: James and John Heitz and Jonathan David and Katie Elizabeth Harrell; 4 great grandchildren: Ashlyn Kate Harrell, Bentley Turner, Willow Deen, and Kyle Heitz. Several aunts, nieces, and nephews also survive. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
