Mrs. Mildred Lindsey Brantley

Mrs. Mildred Lindsey Brantley, age 89, of Griffin Avenue, Thomaston, died Sunday evening, January 12, 2014, in Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Brantley was born in Lancaster, SC, to the late William and Mary Lindsey. She was a registered nurse and was employed as Operating Room Supervisor at Upson Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Brantley was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Builders Sunday School Class. She also volunteered for the Upson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Mrs. Brantley is survived by her husband, Harris Brantley, Sr. of Thomaston; son, James H. Brantley, Jr., of Ellaville, GA; daughters, Joy B. Day, of Jonesboro, GA; Cathy (Michael) Greenman, of Thomaston, Ga; son, David H. Brantley, of Thomaston, GA; sister, Kathryn Schwarz, of Thomaston, GA; three grandchildren, Brantley Day, of Canton, Ga; Jim Brantley, of Ellaville, GA; Ellen Foy, of Thomaston, GA. and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 14, in the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in South View Cemetery. Rev. Joey Smith and Dr. Albert E. Simmons will officiate. Mrs. Brantley's family will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
