Mrs. Myra B. Wilkinson

Mrs. Myra B. Wilkinson, 87, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at her home. Memorial services for Mrs. Wilkinson will be held on Thursday, February 23rd, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Mountain View Baptist Church with Dr. Rex King officiating. Mrs. Wilkinson was born on August 6th, 1929 in Upson County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Emma Blount Burkett. She was a retired nurse at the Lake City Nursing Home. Mrs. Wilkinson was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Pam (Greg) Cunningham of Brooks and Jill (Bob) Buice-Bartoldus of Loganville; a son, Hal J. (Jean) Wilkinson of Lawrenceville; a sister, Golden Barnes of Thomaston; two brothers, Sammy Burkett of Thomaston and Thomas Burkett of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Holly Hancock, Erin Hancock, Kathryn Olivia-Anne Lydia Buice, Ashley Drake, and Scott Wilkinson; and a special friend, Katie Rucci. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Wilkinson; a son, Roddy Wilkinson; and a grandson, Ryan Lane. Mrs. Wilkinson's family has requested that any memorial donations be made to Mt. View Baptist Church. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
