Mrs. Nadean Boyd Owsley, 80, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at her residence. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Owsley will be held on Tuesday, January 26, at 2:00 PM, at South View Cemetery. Rev. Brandon Redden and Rev. Buddy Wall will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Owsley was born in Lineville, AL, on November 26, 1940, to the late Henry Boyd and Helen Phillips Boyd. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and had worked as a seamstress for Thomaston Mills at the Bleachery Division. Mrs. Owsley was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle for more than forty years. In addition to her parents Mrs. Owsley was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Owsley, Sr., and a son, Billy Gay Owsley. She is survived by a son, Charles Luke Owsley, Jr., of Thomaston, a sister, Sally Ivey of Salt Lake City, UT, a brother-in-law, David (Shirley) Owsley of Thomaston, a niece, Vicki McKissick, and dear family friends, Dot Brannon of Meansville and Elaine Nordan of Thomaston.
