Mrs. Nell Denham Montgomery

Mrs. Nell Denham Montgomery, 93, died on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 at Providence Health Care in Thomaston. Funeral services for Mrs. Montgomery will be held on Friday, December 22nd, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Smith and Rev. Ralph Wade officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Montgomery will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Mrs. Montgomery was born on March 28, 1924 in Thomaston, GA, to Aubrey Denham and Bessilu Kersey Denham. Mrs. Montgomery was a life-long member of East Thomaston Baptist Church and devoted homemaker. Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Garnett) Grubb of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Jim (Rhonda) Grubb of Thomaston and Jeff (Ashlie) Grubb of Kennesaw; and five great grandchildren, Jamie Kay and Julianne Grubb of Thomaston, and Will, Lily and Jon Hinton Grubb of Kennesaw. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James Arnold Montgomery, and a son, Jimmie Russell Montgomery.
