Mrs. Nina Nipper Pitts, 86, of Thomaston, died Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at Golden Living Center. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Pitts will be held on Friday, May 1st, 2015 at 2 pm in Crystal Hill Cemetery with Mr. Jack Phipps officiating. Mrs. Pitts was born in Cordele on November 26th, 1928, a daughter of the late Leon Curtis Nipper and Essie Mae Adkins Nipper. She was a retired jewelry manager for K-mart. Mrs. Pitts is survived by her two sons and their wives, Mark and Lisa Pitts of Thomaston and Dave and Linda Pitts of Londonderry, NH; a sister, Betty (James) Coker of Thomaston; four grandchildren, Mark Corey Pitts of Temple, Megan Blankenship of Thomaston, Caitilin Pitts of Boston, MA, and Thomasin Pitts of New Hampshire; and three great grandchildren, Harley Blankenship and Caden Blankenship, both of Thomaston, and Allie Pitts of Savannah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Vernon Pitts. The family of Mrs. Pitts will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 until 8 pm.
