Born in Jefferson County, GA on July 29, 1923, she was predeceased by her father, W. B. “Ben” Braswell, mother, Brina Thigpen Braswell, and husband, James A. Franko. Mrs. Franko was a resident of Thomaston since 1955 and enjoyed 40 years as a teacher in the Thomaston, Upson County, and Spalding County school systems. The family expresses their appreciation to the entire staff of Riverside Health and Rehab for their loving care of Mrs. Franko over the final five years of her life. The family of Mrs. Franko will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers or donations the Franko family asks that when this pandemic is behind us and it is allowed, to honor her memory, please visit someone you know who is a resident in a nursing home. You will be amazed at the amount of happiness that a few minutes of your time will bring into someone’s life. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
