Mrs. Ophelia Peterman

Mrs. Ophelia Peterman, 87, of Forsyth, GA, died Monday, July 4, 2022, at The Lodge in Warner Robins, GA. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Peterman will be held on Friday, July 8, at 10:00 AM, in Upson Memorial Gardens, 1367 Woodland Highway, Thomaston, GA, with Rev. Ricky Niblett and Rev. Ricky Tidwell officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, July 7, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home in Thomaston. Mrs. Peterman was born in Troup County, GA, on October 5, 1934, to the late Otis Starnes and Rosa Mae Starnes. She was retired from Wanderlodge, and she enjoyed quilting, cooking, and playing Bingo. She dearly loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Peterman was a member of the New Pine Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peterman was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Earl Peterman; her son, Kenneth Earl Peterman, Sr.; and her second husband, Joe Spence. Survivors include two sons: Sammy (Debbie) Peterman of Byron, GA, and Mitch (Andrea) Peterman of Roberta, GA; a daughter-in-law, Betty Peterman of Forsyth, GA; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
