Mrs. Pamela "Pam" English Coonrod

Mrs. Pamela "Pam" English Coonrod, 67, of Thomaston, died Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Memorial services for Mrs. Coonrod will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church on Saturday, October 23, at 1:00 PM, with Dr. Ryan Christopher and Rev. Chet Yates officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12;00 PM until the funeral hour. Mrs. Coonrod was born on March 26, 1954, in Kent County, KY, to the late Markland English and Ruth Agnes Wilcher English. She was retired from Walmart where she worked as a cake decorator in the bakery. She was a caregiver for many children, and she loved her family dearly. She always enjoyed helping others. Her sons referred to her as "the warden", but she was a loving LaLa to her grandchildren. She was a faithful Christian. In addition to her parents and several siblings, Mrs. Coonrod was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Butch" Coonrod, I. She is survived by her four sons: Steven Charles Coonrod; Heithcliffe Alexander Coonrod (Gracie Zolman); Alfred Boyd "Freddy" Coonrod, II; and Myles Sebastian (Serena) Coonrod, all of Thomaston; two sisters: Gail Johnson and Goldie (R. C.) Matthews; three brothers: Wallace Ray (Kay) English, Gary Creech, and Robin English; two brothers-in-law: Doug (Janie) Coonrod and Sonny Coonrod; fourteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
