Mrs. Pauline Chapman Thompson, 92, of Thomaston, passed away on Sunday, May 24th, 2015 at Riverside Health and Rehab. Mrs. Thompson was born in Macon to the late Ben and Carrie Chapman. She worked and retired from the Peerless Mill. She was married to the late John W. Thompson. She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Dr. Derrrick Keeter will officiate and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Thompson, her son, Butch Thompson, and her daughter-in-law, Liz Thompson. She is survived by a daughter, Sally Fay (Lonnie) Holmes of Thomaston; two sons, Benny (Linda) Thompson of Griffin and Bill (Mary) Thompson of McDonough; eight grandchildren, Al (Janet) Holmes, Billy (Debbie) Thompson, Jimmy (Kim) Thompson, Joel (Shannon) Thompson, Sheri (Mark) Compton, Laura (Lee) Spooner, Melody (Ken) Gaskins, and Michelle (Mark) Wilson; 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Thompson will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm.
