Mrs. Pauline Skipper Hancock age 93, died on March 5, 2014, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born April 16, 1920, in Dodge County, GA and was raised in Cochran GA where she married Ira Cleveland Hancock, Jr., of Thomaston GA, on December 8, 1941. In 1956, she moved to Bradenton, FL , and lived there until 2005 when she moved to St. Petersburg to be closer to her son. Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors are a son, Timothy Hancock, of St. Petersburg FL; three daughters, Wansley Walters, of Tallahassee FL; Dianne Chapman, of Richmond, Virginia; Kay Apfel, of Miami FL; nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Hancock will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014, in the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel, in Thomaston GA, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Stallings of Snellville, Ga will officiate. The Hancock family will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to service.
