Mrs. Phyllis Curry Fallin, 77, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Fallin will be held Friday, September 28, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Barber officiating. Interment will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday evening, September 27, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Thomaston Christmas Kitchen, c/o Mrs. Linda Best, 2112 Rocky Bottom Rd., The Rock, GA 30285. Mrs. Fallin was born in Taylor County, GA, February 2, 1941, to the late Benjamin Otis and Mildred Spillers Curry. She was a 1959 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute, and she and her husband owned and operated Thomaston Hardware Company. Mrs. Fallin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fallin was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Curry. She is survived by her husband, Melvin H. Fallin of Thomaston; two daughters: Sherri F. (Thomas) Simmons of Atlanta, GA, and Kristi F. (Jeff) Rabon, of Thomaston; a son: Phillip (Lynn) Fallin, of Thomaston; a sister, Gwen (Wesley) Brown of Thomaston; and a special cousin, Marilyn Dickerson, of Thomaston. Eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
