Mrs. Rilla Shepard Holliman

Mrs. Rilla Shepard Holliman, 90, of Thomaston, died Sunday, May 4th, 2014 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Holliman was a native of LaGrange but moved to Thomaston at an early age. She attended the one-room Sunnyside School and met her future husband, the late Walter S. 'Sam' Holliman. Their marriage would last for 67 years. Mrs. Holliman was employed as a sales clerk at the Thomaston Mills Store and later by the William Carter Company. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Mrs. Holliman is survived by two daughters, Glenda (Chris) Foster of Thomaston and Audrey (Mickey) Bryan of Pensacola Beach, FL; a son, Walter S. (Ann) Holliman, Jr., of Thomaston; three grandchildren, Chad Holliman and DeeGee Gassett, both of Thomaston, and Darby Holliman of Brooks, GA; and four great grandchildren.
