Mrs. Ruby Ferguson Cromer

Mrs. Ruby Rutledge Ferguson Cromer, 84, of Thomaston, died February 6, 2015, at Providence Health and Rehab. She was born September 8, 1930, to Coyl and Marie Pfannkuche Rutledge and was a life-long resident of Upson County. Funeral services for Mrs. Cromer will be held Sunday, February 8, at 2:00 PM at East Thomaston Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. Mrs. Cromer's family will receive friends Saturday evening, February 7, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Cromer was employed for many years in the Spinning Department, Peerless Division of Thomaston Mills. She was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church where she was active in the Young at Heart group and the Sandra Stubbs Sunday School Class. Survivors include three daughters: Sylvia Ellington of Thomaston, Sheila Ferguson and Christy Cromer, both of Zebulon, GA; a son, Sidney (Ilene) Ferguson of Yatesville, GA,; two granddaughters: Chloe Blount of St. Petersburg, FL, and Chelsea Blount of Zebulon, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to East Thomaston Baptist Church, PO Box 329, Thomaston, GA 30286.
