Mrs. Ruth "Ruthie" Boyt

Mrs. Ruth "Ruthie" Boyt, 86, of Thomaston, died Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Providence Health Care. A private family graveside service was held at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Boyt was born August 1, 1934, to the late Blake Harwell Stansell and Louella Kiser Stansell. She was a homemaker and avid gardener who was known for her elaborate flower beds. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyt was predeceased by her husband, Harris Boyt; a son Glenn Boyt; and brothers and sisters: Jackie McKendree, Myrtice Tindell, Peggie McKinley, Troy Stansell, B. H. Stansell, Rudolph Stansell, and Frank Stansell. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
