Mrs. Saleeta A. Roberts, age 78, of Thomaston, died Sunday, October 15, 2017, at her residence. Memorial services for Mrs. Roberts will be held on Tuesday, October 17, at 11:00 AM, at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. Rev. Bill Barber, Rev. Leon Newman, and Mr. Gary Hamby will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 at the church. Mrs. Roberts, daughter of the late Raymond E. Adair and Lucy Gholston Adair, was born April 25, 1939, in Stone Mountain, Ga. She was a longtime educator in the elementary schools of Thomaston and Upson County, having taught first grade for most of her career. She had also taught in the Adult Education department of Flint River Technical College and was a member of the Thomaston-Upson Retired Educators Association. Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Spade and Trowel Garden Club and the First Baptist Church of Thomaston where she had taught Sunday School and was a choir member. She was a very good provider and a loving wife and caregiver to her late husband, Arlis Roberts. Mrs. Roberts is survived by two daughters, Lucy (Nathan) Snyder and Dottie Roberts, both of Thomaston; one son, Alan Roberts of Thomaston; one brother, Gholston (Lynda) Adair of Auburn, AL; two grandchildren, Jade Roberts and Gabriel Snyder, both of Thomaston, and several nieces and nephews.
