Mrs. Shirley Duncan Nix

Mrs. Shirley Duncan Nix, age 78, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Nix will be held on Saturday, December 21, at 2:00 PM, in South View Cemetery with Rev. Claude Turner officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Nix was born April 2, 1941, in Upson County to the late C.M. Duncan and Cora Maude Duncan. She was a seamstress and a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Mrs. Nix leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son, Darrell Nix of Thomaston; granddaughters, Angie Stepp of Thomaston; Tara Nix, of North Carolina; grandsons, Jason Nix of Thomaston; Tommy Nix of Thomaston; sisters, Ramona Anderson and Geneva Mullis. Also surviving are several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Travis Nix and her daughter, Kim Fallin. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
