Mrs. Vera Duncan Watts died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Riverside Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Watts will be held at the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2014, with interment at South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour. Mrs. Watts was born in Marion County Georgia to the late Eddie Lee and Mattie Mangham Duncan. She was a homemaker and is preceded in death by her husband Rufus Evans Watts and a daughter-in-law Barbara Scholz Watts and is survived by three sons Larry (Becky) Watts of Thomaston, GA; Gary Watts of Beloit, WI, and Mike (Felicia) Watts of McDonough, GA. She is survived by one sister Mrs. Evelyn Duncan Barfield. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lara Watts (Patrick) Greer of Thomaston, GA; Blake (Ann Marie) Watts of Monroe; Amy Watts (Steven) Poloncic of Thomaston, GA; Allison Watts of Setauket, NY; Bethany Watts (Marty) Estrada of Oshkosh, WI; Justin Green of McDonough; and Lauren Green (Floyd) Henderson of McDonough, GA. Seven great grandchildren also survive, Elliott Greer, Katie Byard, Duncan Watts, Tripp Greer, Trenton Helms, Zoe Watts and Jackson Henderson. Two nephews Eric Pitts of Thomaston, GA and Johnnie Barfield of Cochran, GA also survive. Several great nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial donations may be made to Riverside Health and Rehabilitation, P. O. Box 71, Thomaston, GA 30286 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
