Mrs. Verna Conley Stallings, 83, of Yatesville, died Monday, October 27th, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Funeral services for Mrs. Stallings will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014 at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Rev. Steve MaGuire will officiate and burial will follow in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Yatesville. Mrs. Stallings was born on July 17th, 1931 in Dodge County, a daughter of the late William A. Conley and Eddie Horne Conley. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. Mrs. Stallings was a school bus driver for the Thomaston-Upson County School System for many years. She was a member of the Yatesville Baptist Church. Mrs. Stallings is survived by her husband, Lindbergh Stallings; a daughter, Susan (Ricky) Phillips of Thomaston; a son, Johnny C. (Sandy) Howard of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. The family of Mrs. Stallings will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 until 2 pm.
