Mrs. Vickie Brown Miles

Mrs. Vickie Brown Miles, age 71, of Thomaston, died Tuesday evening, October 5, 2021, at her residence. Graveside services for Mrs. Miles will be held Friday, October 8, at 11:00 AM, at the Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene Cemetery with Rev. Ken Horton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, October 7, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Miles was born December 19, 1949, a daughter of the late Ira Connell Brown and the late Beuleh Marie Bettis Brown in Zebulon, Georgia. She was a graduate of Pike County High School. She was employed with the Thomaston Times, Thomaston Federal, and she later retired from the Bank of Upson. She was a member of Vega Community Church of Pike County, Georgia. Mrs. Miles loved gardening, fishing, watching her grandkids play soccer, cooking for family, going on vacations to Florida and the mountains, but most of all she loved her God, her family, and her friends. She also enjoyed gospel music and was an avid reader. Mrs. Miles leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 50 years, Donny Miles; her daughter, Sara (Shane) Corley of Thomaston; her granddaughter, Mackenzie Corley; her grandson, Landon Corley; her nieces, Shannon (Missy) Brown of Zebulon, Gaye (David) Lunsford of Forsyth, Traci (Shane) Stuart of Forsyth, and Lynn (Michael) McGahee of Thomson. Several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Udell Brown.
