Mrs. Virginia Claire Daniel Parker

Mrs. Virginia Claire Daniel Parker, 89, of Loganville and formerly of Molena, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Gwinnett Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Molena Baptist Church. Rev. Neil Anderson and Rev. Billy Lawrence will officiate and burial will follow in the Molena City Cemetery. Mrs. Parker was born on June 26, 1926, a daughter of the late Claude Waller Daniel and Effie Lou Brown Daniel. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from the University of Georgia and taught school in Woodbury and Milner. Mrs. Parker and her husband, the late Chester Harvey Parker, moved to Macon where they raised their children. Mrs. Parker was employed as an office manager for the local Weight Watchers affiliate for 20 years. She was a member of the West Highland Baptist Church for 25 years. In 1991 Mrs. Parker and her husband moved back to Molena and she lived there for several years before relocating to Loganville. While in Molena she was a member of the Molena Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker is survived by two sons, Jonathan (Lauri) Parker of Buford and TImothy (Warren James) Parker of Long Island, NY; and two grandchildren, Samantha Parker and Jackson Parker, both of Buford. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcelle Lynes and Charlotte Jenkins. The family of Mrs. Parker will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday from 5 until 7:30 pm.
