Mrs. Wanda Denham Johnson

Mrs. Wanda Denham Johnson, age 74, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her residence.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, at 12:00 PM, in Upson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home from 5:00 -7:00 PM, Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Johnson was born on April 9, 1950, in Thomaston, to the late Russell Denham and the late Evelyn Owens Denham. She was a graduate of Georgia Cumberland Academy and attended vocational school. Mrs. Johnson was retired from Thomaston Mills, and she later worked as secretary for the Upson County Sheriff's Office. She enjoyed traveling after retiring, and she loved her many friends and her dog, Lady. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Christ Chapel Community Church.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Larry B. Johnson; her daughter, Amy (Stacy) Stevens; her son, Brent (Cassie) Johnson; her sister, Debbie (Ronnie) McRae; and four grandchildren: Hannah VanHouten, Landon Sears, Weston Johnson, and Morgan Johnson. Many nieces, nephews, and special friends also survive.
