Mrs. Wanda Price Isbell, age 81, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Griffin.
Funeral services for Mrs. Isbell will be held Sunday, March 26, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Pickel officiating. Interment will follow the service in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 until 4:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.
Mrs. Isbell was born September 11, 1941, in Thomaston, a daughter of the late Louie Lamar Price and the late Lanneau Lashley Price. She was a high school graduate and was a homemaker. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and collecting everything. She was an avid sports fan with baseball, football, and nascar being her favorites. She loved her family and her cat. Mrs. Isbell was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Isbell is survived by her son, Brad (Traci) Isbell of Thomaston; her five grandchildren, Robert Shonfelt, Ian Shonfelt, William Shonfelt, Juli (Ty) Maxwell, and David (Amanda) Shonfelt; her seven great grandchildren; her sister, Faye Hall of Thomaston; her brother, Oren (Michele) Price of Thomaston; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Isbell Lowe and Ann Isbell Rogers; her brother-in-law, Ken Weaver; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Isbell was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Isbell, her brother, Durell Price, her sister-in-law, Brenda Isbell Weaver, and her brothers-in-law, Stan Isbell and Irvin “I.T.” Lowe.
